The Franz Josef Glacier descends 2500 mm in a journey of over 13 km, and is remarkable in that it is so easy to access. Come and stay with us to make your West Coast stay that easy and remarkable.

If you wish to be in the hub of the action, then park your campervan at the front of the complex. This way you will be close to the Monsoon Restaurant and Bar, the Rainforest Backpackers Lodge and the bustle and excitement of holidaying peers. If a quiet secluded holiday is what you are after, then choose a site at the back of the complex. Here you have full kitchen and bathroom facilities, with a children playground and all weather BBQ on hand. The bush is denser, the noises more woodland like and your companions like minded in their search for peace and tranquillity.

Massage Therapist

Emma Giddens (Naturopath and Massage Therapist) has joined the team at Rainforest Retreat as our resident Massage Therapist.

In the past, Emma was a competitive cyclist (racing for New Zealand in 2008) and continues to enjoy adventures in the wilderness. Emma has traveled extensively and it was in SE Asia her passion for natural medicine deepened leading to studying towards a degree in Natural Medicine.

Also qualified in Sports Performance, Emma has recently combined her skills and experience to form her business Memorys Organics, specializing in making natural organic products and massage therapy.

Emma firmly believes in endeavouring to "Breathe life into your body and envision it as the healthy temple it is intended to be. See yourself as a thriving being.”
