In the heart of New Zealands' Glacier Country

Rainforest Retreat and Holiday Park is located in the Franz Josef Glacier village, in the heart of New Zealand's Glacier Country, which is situated on the South Island's West Coast and is part of the Te Wahipounamu World Heritage Area. We are close to all village facilities including shops, service station, tour and sightseeing services, cafes and restaurants, and coach stops.

Franz Josef is a temperate rain forest area almost squashed by the immense Franz Josef Galcier inland and the wild Southern Ocean creating some of the wildest scenery in New Zealand.
